What We Store Locally
- Dimming State: Whether the dimming feature is currently enabled or disabled
- Storage Location: All data is stored locally in your browser using the browser's storage API
What We Do NOT Collect
- Personal information
- Browsing history
- Website content
- Analytics or tracking data
- Any information transmitted to external servers
Data Usage
The only data stored by EasyEyes is your preference for whether dimming is enabled or disabled. This data:
- Remains entirely on your local device
- Is never transmitted to any external servers
- Is never shared with third parties
- Is used solely to remember your dimming preference across browser sessions
Permissions
EasyEyes requests the following permissions:
- activeTab: To apply the dimming overlay to the current tab when you click the extension icon
- storage: To save your dimming preference locally in your browser
- scripting: To inject the dimming overlay CSS into web pages
These permissions are used exclusively for the extension's core functionality and nothing else.
Third-Party Services
EasyEyes does not use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools.
Data Security
Since all data remains local to your browser and is not transmitted anywhere, your data is as secure as your browser's local storage.
Children's Privacy
EasyEyes does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
